Art: Come What May (a comparison through the years)

I often like to see how much I've improved in my art over the years, and this is an example. For the record, in 2005, Moulin Rouge was my WORLD, which is why I drew this picture twice in seven months. I found the old ones the other day and decided to give it another whirl.





This is a comparison shot of the three times I've drawn it.



And this is a closer view of the new one.

I think I've gotten a lot better, don't you? :)

That's why I do it. I constantly get down on myself about my art. I'm really critical, but when I do things like this I'm able to remember how far I've come. I post it online to show people how far they can go.

I love your new picture (beautiful hair and oh her mouth and those hands that don't quite touch!), and my progress is one of the only thing that keeps me drawing when I feel like it should all be crumpled. :)

I loved all three of them, but last one is simply FLAWLESS... Her lips, her hair, colours - everything is just perfect!!! And oh my god! Your dedication to this picture!!

Also, I remember how I started drawing - by pressing pictures to window, and drawing over:)
