God, I feel like a big, shaken up bag of emotions right now. I got teary-eyed at this, and that almost NEVER happens. This story is just so cutting, so real. Each character is so strongly sympathetic. It's like, I know from an outside perspective that Arthur isn't handling the situation well, and sometimes I want to shake him, but at the same time I absolutely understand the feelings of futility you can get when you're trying to understand and help someone who doesn't want your help. I know that frustration. And poor, poor Owen. It was that last scene that really did me in. *sniffles* I look forward to the next part with a little bit of trepidation, but a lot of hope. Brava!
